Position: FMS Billing and Payment Poster

Pay Range: $24.00 HR

Reporting To: FMS Lead

Work Type: On-site

POSITION SUMMARY:

The FMS Billing and Payment Poster will report to the FMS Lead and will assist with the process of the Financial Management Services program. They will perform duties such as processing payments and billing for Financial Management Service. The position is intended for those who can handle fast-paced environments while producing quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2+ years of billing experience preferred
2. Excellent communication/phone skills
3. Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
4. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
5. Ability to work with substantial amounts of data and make correct judgments.
6. Ability to work independently and with others, including management.
7. Ability to multi-task and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
8. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook (or similar e-mail software applications)
9. A ‘can-do’ attitude and willing to jump in to assist with additional tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review, process payments and FMS billing
2. Maintain, input, update, research and analyze patient account activity to maintain accuracy.
3. Reconcile daily receipts and remittances with posted payments
4. Reviews patient accounts identify any missing information, follows up, and corrects accordingly.
5. Collaborate with billing and customer service teams to ensure account accuracy.
6. Maintain records of payments and adjustments for audit and compliance purposes.
7. Keep up regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company.
8. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).
• Close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 25lbs).
